But as the business continued to grow, Normie saw an opportunity to formalise and scale their mortgage referral income without compromising the values that set them apart.

We spoke with Director, Josh Gertler to understand how the Partner Platform supported this shift and enabled the team to embrace a new, more structured approach to referrals.

The Challenge

Normie’s referral process had long depended on clients initiating the conversation, “we were basically waiting for someone to ask us to recommend a broker,” Josh noted. 

Their previous partnership with a free brokerage included a platform for tracking referrals, but it never gained real traction internally. The team didn’t fully understand how to use it, leading to low engagement and limited impact. 

Before moving to the Partner Platform, only a small number of financial leads were being passed on, with Josh explaining the workflow as “really clunky and reliant on us remembering to send an email to push it forward.”

The Solution

The Results

Normie has already submitted 46 referrals to their external broker, with 56% of these currently progressing through the pipeline and expected to convert into income. Josh noted that the team is now highly motivated by the clear dashboard visibility the platform provides, adding that they “really thrive off the value of the leaderboard.”

Beyond performance gains, the platform has also significantly improved efficiency. Reporting capabilities have exceeded expectations, offering a granular level of insight while eliminating the manual steps previously involved. Negotiators now avoid the repetitive “copying and pasting” and the need to draft a “covering email,” with all referral data centralised directly within Street.co.uk.

The Sales Progressor, in particular, is “benefiting massively from the new process, as they don’t have to chase negotiators on where clients are in terms of their mortgage application if referred by us.” Up-to-date information is instantly accessible within the CRM, creating huge time savings, efficiency and value across the entire workflow.

Perhaps most notably, the platform has helped reveal “how much gold is out there that was previously untapped,” Josh noted, giving Normie a clearer picture of the true financial opportunity within their pipeline.

Future Outlook

Looking ahead, Normie sees huge potential to build on the early success of the Partner Platform. Their fee-free broker model continues to remove friction for clients, opening “a huge amount of doors” and improving conversion rates. 

Describing the system as a “slick, straightforward way of referring leads” the team is excited by how little effort is required to generate meaningful revenue. With referrals now just a button-press away, Normie anticipates even greater uplift as awareness, confidence, and adoption continue to grow internally. 

The agency also recognises that the platform has already surfaced a wealth of previously untapped opportunity and they expect this to scale further as the process becomes even more embedded in their day-to-day operations.
